With theĀ ESC Backup,Ā a reliable and redundant receiver power supply can be set up using an existing BEC power supply for the motor controller and an additional battery. TheĀ ESC BackupĀ has two inputs from the motor controller, one for the PWM output, and the other, if available, for telemetry.Ā
The signals are passed through 1:1, the current-carrying lines are decoupled from the backup battery, which is connected to the bottom.

Thus, a failure or even a short circuit in the BEC of the motor controller has no negative effects on the receiver power supply.
TheĀ ESC BackupĀ can be loaded with up to 20A current and is delivered ready for installation with all plugs and cables.
